New Global Online Conference now available to book....
Online Interactive Experience
The Covid Pandemic meant that our regular PRIME Global Conference has not taken place for the last two years. This year we are planning something new.
The PRIME Online Interactive Experience will be open to everyone interested in PRIME, whether they are experienced PRIME Tutors, members of the PRIME Network or just want to know a bit more about what we do.
Friday 11th November, 7pm to 9.30pm UK time
This evening session will include many of the features of our Global Conferences, for example Spotlight Stories from around the world and updates on the work of PRIME, together with the opportunity to network and pray with colleagues from around the world.
Saturday 12th November, 9am to 12pm UK time
Getting down to business this morning’s sessions will feature some brand new cutting edge teaching and an opportunity to join one of our specially designed interactive streams focussing on some of our core teaching.
We are not charging to attend this conference but if you are able to we would like to suggest a donation of £25 per person to support the work of PRIME.
Introducing our interactive conference streams:
You will be asked to choose one of these streams on the Saturday morning:
So what about Spiritual Care?
PRIME talks a lot about Whole Person Care including an understanding of the Spiritual dimension. This stream will explore Spiritual Dis-ease, how we approach it and give an opportunity to discuss how our individual response and support could develop.
Compassion Under Pressure
This stream will discuss working as healthcare professionals with compassion; why it is important, how we can do it, and what are the barriers. We will consider what aspects of our professional lives cause stress, how this could lead to burnout; and how we can recognise and prevent burnout. We look at what it means to be "resilient", and finally how we can support each other while working under pressure.
How to facilitate learning in PRIME style
We will be looking at what makes PRIME teaching distinctive and exploring how to facilitate learning in a culture which is not our own. We aim to illustrate during the session how, as Christ centred teachers, we can work in an interactive participant centred way even when there are unexpected challenges. We welcome participants with any level of teaching experience or none.
