Psychological first aid






Disastrous events are occurring all the time in the world. These include war, natural disasters, accidents, fires. People may experience loss of property or loved ones, be separated from family and community or may witness or be subject to violence and destruction. Psychological First Aid (PFA) is defined as “involving humane, supportive and practical help to fellow human beings suffering serious crisis events” and has been recommended by many international and national expert groups.
